Update

For the past several months our family has been pursuing an opportunity to serve the Lord over in London with Mike and Cindy. There have been many efforts by many different individuals to get us over there, however, it seems that the Lord is closing this door as of right now. One of the factors that needed to be in place in order for our family to go to London was housing. Unfortunately, nothing ever materialized. We appreciate all of your prayers and support over the past several months and want to encourage you that they have not gone unheard.

We strongly feel that God has been strategically directing our family and has been teaching us A LOT these past few months. We continue to put our trust in Him and lean not on our own understanding. There are a couple of opportunities on the horizon and we are knocking on some doors. Stay tuned and we will fill you in.

London on our minds...

Hello friends!

Jen and I are very excited to join Mike and Cindy in the ministry that is occurring in the UK. Currently, we are waiting for our housing arrangements to be confirmed before we book our flight. Please join us in asking the Lord to open this door.

Last weekend we had our first fundraising event. Thanks to everyone that came out to support us, we had a great time. More than likely, we will do this again in the near future. We are both looking forward to meeting new people and sharing our vision with others. On that note, you may be wondering, "What do Aaron and Jen do, and what is their 'vision/call'?" Well, it really is quite simple. We are "Jesus Ministry" missionaries. Meaning, that our heart is to minister to the church at large as well as the lost and broken around the world. We will accomplish this in a variety of different ways as the Lord leads...however, this will be the thread that runs through all of our missions work.

We will keep you posted on any new developments as they happen. Thanks again for your love, support, and prayers!

Happy December! AND...MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hello friends! Jen and I are so excited that December has finally come. This is one of our favorite months of the year. The birth of Jesus (of course He wasn't REALLY born in Dec., but we celebrate it anyways :)), family, friends, great food...you really can't go wrong. We will be spending our holidays with family here in the great Northwest. How about you?

On a simultaneous track, Jen and I have our sites set on London due to our firm belief that we have heard the Lord direct us that way. We continue to be very excited about overseas mission work. At this point, the plan is to join with Mike and Cindy Riches in order to support them with admin/org. needs and assist with our mutual desire to see the church reformed and individuals grow closer to God. We are currently praying for the finances and provision to make this a reality.

Salem DTS

We are currently ministering and teaching down at the Salem, OR YWAM base. We just finished our first session and have met most of the students. They are an amazing bunch of young people that we believe are called by the Lord to impact the world in great ways. Please join us in praying that God touches them all this week and accomplishes His will for their lives.

Back in the U.S.

That's right friends! The Atkission family is back on the mainland bunkering down in Puyallup for a season. We learned so much while overseas, however, we are grateful to be back home and in our local church body.

As best we can tell right now Jen and I will be in the Northwest through December with the goal of raising consistent monthly support as well as seeking the Lord regarding next steps. We continue to have a sense that we will be leaving town in January for several months to minister somewhere. We believe the Lord will show us where in His perfect timing. In the mean time, please pray for direction, provision, confirmation of His plan, and much favor. We will be ministering at our home church, Destiny City, until further plans are made known to us.

We love you all and pray that God's peace, love, and fire will continue to minister to you all the days of your life.
